Você sabia que no dia 26 de Julho Comemoramos o dia de Sant’Ana?
Sant’Ana, foi mãe de Maria e avó de Jesus. E por isso é considerada padroeira das Avós. Seu nome Ana vem do hebraico HANNA que significa graça. Ela se casou jovem com Joaquim que era descendente da família real de Davi e Viviam em Jerusalém. Ana era uma mulher estéril e mesmo depois de muitos anos de casada, não conseguiu engravidar. Depois de muitas orações e devoção, São Joaquim se retirou ao deserto para fazer jejum e penitências. E nessa ocasião um anjo lhe apareceu, dizendo que suas preces tinham sido ouvidas. Ao mesmo tempo também Ana se deparou com a presença do anjo, dizendo que ela estaria grávida. Quando Joaquim voltou, Ana estava finalmente grávida. Foi no dia 08 de setembro que Miriam nasceu, com a tradução em latim ”Maria”. Sant´Ana e São Joaquim são pessoas-chaves para toda história da salvação da humanidade, eles foram escolhidos para gerar a Virgem Maria e dar continuidade nesse ciclo de amor.
No Museu de Arte Sacra de Mato Grosso está em exposição uma imaginária do século XVIII de Sant´Ana mestra uma escultura de madeira, pigmentada, policromada e com aplicação em folha de ouro que ficava no Altar Barroco do século XVIII de colateral direita ao arco do cruzeiro remanescente da Antiga Catedral do Senhor Bom Jesus de Cuiabá. A escultura é representada no auge da sua vida adulta com o rosto sereno e sorridente, pontudo. Santa´Ana está sentada com o braço direito tocando Maria de Nazaré menina nas costas e o braço esquerdo estendido à frente como se portasse um livro que não integra a imagem atualmente. Ela traja ainda, sobre a túnica, um manto policromado e dourado, decorado por motivos florais e esculpida de forma a sugerir movimento, E além do manto, veste ainda sobre os cabelos cacheados um véu, talhado com movimento esvoaçante, nos tons verde e dourado. Está imaginária atualmente encontrasse em destaque no altar Barroco-rococó, que também é remanescente da Antiga igreja do Senhor Bom Jesus de Cuiabá.

Did you know that on July 26th we celebrate Saint Ana’s day?
Saint Ana, was mother of Mary and grandmother of Jesus. That is why she is considered the patron saint of grandmothers. Her name Ana comes from the Hebrew HANNA which means grace. She married young Joaquim, who was a descendant of the royal family of David and lived in Jerusalem. Ana was a sterile woman and even after many years of marriage, she was unable to conceive. After many prayers and devotion, St. Joaquim retired to the desert to do fasting and penitences. On that occasion an angel appeared to him, saying that his prayers had been heard. At the same time, Ana was also faced with the presence of the angel, saying that she would be pregnant. When Joaquim returned, Ana was finally pregnant. It was on September 8 that Miriam was born, with the Latin translation “Mary”. Saint Ana and Saint Joaquim are key people for the whole history of the salvation of humanity, they were chosen to generate the Virgin Mary and continue this cycle of love.
At the Museum of Sacred Art of Mato Grosso, an 18th-century imaginary of Saint Ana is on display, a wooden sculpture, pigmented, polychrome and applied in gold leaf that was on the 18th century Baroque altar on the right side of the arch remaining cruise from the Old Cathedral of Senhor Bom Jesus de Cuiabá. It is currently imagined to be highlighted in the Baroque-Rococo altar, which is also a remnant of the Old Church of Senhor Bom Jesus de Cuiabá.
